When you’re sick, one of the first things many turn to is Vitamin C, because it’s such a wonderful antioxidant. However, commercial Vitamin C is generally lab-produced ascorbic acid. While this isn’t terrible, because ascorbic acid is amazing for your body, it’s lacking the full spectrum of nutrients found in whole foods. Our C Vitality tincture offers a superior alternative. Packed with bioavailable Vitamin C from sources like rose hips, hibiscus, and citrus peels, it provides a potent dose naturally. This holistic approach supports immune health effectively, making it ideal for regular use and especially during cold and flu seasons.
Other options for colds and flu:
- Often we run to the vitamin C, and forget, or don’t realize that healthy oils can help us just as much. So while you increase your vitamin C, also look for healthy sources of vitamin E, such as cold pressed olive oil or coconut oil. You can add a couple tablespoons daily to smoothies, salads, oatmeal, etc. This will help balance the pH in your blood, among other things, which will help ramp up the immune system.
- Fire Cider is also wonderful at killing off germs.
- Herbal Defense and Immune Shield Syrup tinctures are fantastic.
- It’s a good idea to have several “go-to” approaches when sickness hits. They’ll all help in different ways.

What are tinctures? Tinctures are herbal medicines made with whole herbs and vodka. Alcohol is the only substance that can pull the awesome medicinal properties out of the herb and into solution. I find this quite preferable to manufactured medication. A couple things to consider: When taking a few squirts of tincture you are taking in about the same amount of “alcohol” as there is a ripe banana. The making of alcohol is a natural phenomenon and in such small medicinal doses not harmful. Also some people will squirt their tincture into hot water to burn off the alcohol before they drink it.
