Yeast overgrowth is a common issue in today’s society, often unnoticed until symptoms become problematic. Signs of yeast overgrowth include intense cravings for sweets, persistent fatigue, mood disorders like anxiety or depression, bad breath, and a craving for cold foods. Other symptoms may include a white coating on the tongue, brain fog, forgetfulness, difficulty focusing, hormone imbalances, joint pain, chronic sinus issues, weakened immune system, digestive problems, and skin issues like eczema or psoriasis. For women, chronic yeast infections can also be a clear indicator.
This tincture can help in the management of candida, but here are a few other tips to consider.
- One effective remedy is the 3-2-1 tea, comprising 3 tsp fenugreek, 2 tsp flax, and 1 tsp slippery elm steeped in 1 qt of hot water. Drinking 8 ounces 3X/day supports the body’s effort to combat yeast overgrowth. Combining this with a tincture enhances efficacy by targeting the issue from different angles.
- Compromised gallbladder function can exacerbate yeast issues. Supporting the gallbladder with supplements like liver gallbladder tincture or bioplasma (a homeopathic remedy made by Hyland’s) and incorporating healthy fats into your diet can aid in managing yeast overgrowth.
- For individuals without a gallbladder, proactive support is essential to prevent complications. We again emphasize using bioplasma by Hylands.
- A gut reset through fasting can be very helpful. 24-72 hours of just water to keep your body in ketosis will help reset the gut bacteria and help eradicate candida. More than 1 of these may be necessary.

What are tinctures? Tinctures are herbal medicines made with whole herbs and vodka. Alcohol is the only substance that can pull the awesome medicinal properties out of the herb and into solution. I find this quite preferable to manufactured medication. A couple things to consider: When taking a few squirts of tincture you are taking in about the same amount of “alcohol” as there is a ripe banana. The making of alcohol is a natural phenomenon and in such small medicinal doses not harmful. Also some people will squirt their tincture into hot water to burn off the alcohol before they drink it.
