Echinacea is one of the best herbs for supporting our immune system, and alongside oregano is quite powerful. Echinacea has a pleasant taste, making it ideal for younger children who may struggle with stronger herbal flavors like those in our Herbal Defense tincture, which contains cayenne pepper. Mixing echinacea with cinnamon and adding maple syrup makes it even more palatable, especially for kids. Super Immune is a customer favorite and a top seller due to its effectiveness and taste. It is a perfect choice for beginners interested in making their own tinctures.

What are tinctures? Tinctures are herbal medicines made with whole herbs and vodka. Alcohol is the only substance that can pull the awesome medicinal properties out of the herb and into solution. I find this quite preferable to manufactured medication. A couple things to consider: When taking a few squirts of tincture you are taking in about the same amount of “alcohol” as there is a ripe banana. The making of alcohol is a natural phenomenon and in such small medicinal doses not harmful. Also some people will squirt their tincture into hot water to burn off the alcohol before they drink it.
